South Houston (or Soho as it is affectionately called) is the destination in the city for shopping with tons of little boutiques and designer shops and its downtown scene. Our Soho Sabon store is not only our flagship store, but definitely one of our busiest with out of town visitors and locals—many of our regular customers tell us this is their favorite Sabon boutique. The best way to describe this store is lush—glossy, rustic wooden floors, glamorous looming chandelier, large antique sinks and the luxurious, yet earthy, smells of our all natural products greet you as you walk in the door. Our staff will help you find the perfect gift and let you sample many of the products before you buy them.

Don’t forget to ask for soap samples to take home and try. The more you try, the more you'll leave with—it's not unusual for customers to leave with multiple bags. There's so much to choose from—from white tea eyecream to our gentle men's skin care line to truly devine scrubs. Our all-natural soaps in a variety of flavors, including shea butter and lavender, are always personally handcut for you. The Dead Sea Salt Scrub is one of our most popular items for men and women—we have eight sumptuous flavors that not only energize but also drench your skin in moisture. Many of our customers tell us this is a must-have in their beauty regimens.

This manhattan shop is the flagship store of Sabon. From Israel, we bring our famous handmade items of which many have Dead Sea salt. However, from the beginning, Sabon became known for its lovely soap. We have since expanded and the great reaction to our old fashioned methods couldn't have been better. Some of the items people can buy include

Rose scented glycerine soap Loofah scented Loofah soap with Amber Scented Rounded Candles aromatherapy massage oils

Yelp review for Sabon Shop in SOHO New York City

  1. "I love this store! It is way better than Lush. I could hardly smell the lush products. Sabon's products have strong nice scents and are classic like rose and lavender. They also package their stuff really prettily and gave me three little soap chunks for samples. The ladies (Israeli??) were very nice and informative. I loved it so much I had to go back. I went to the uptown store at 72nd in Broadway the 2nd time and didn't like it quite as much as the SOHO store. The employees were American and were not as informative, didn't give me samples, and didn't take as much care packaging the items, but I still love it. I brought home a bath bomb and soap for my mom and sister and they love it now too. Then online, I saw that they offer a skin care line for sensitive skin so I had to order that too! Lush just has you put your items in little plastic bags and you have to buy giftsets if you want nice gift packaging. I also didn't get any samples at lush but I will say I like their massage bar which Sabon doesn't have. Sabon offers a full line of body scrubs, bath salts, skin care, men's products etc. I will definitly be buying more from them in the future. The store is an experience in itself with the rich browns, and large antique looking sinks where you can try out the products or have th ladies demonstrate for you. It feels like you are stepping into an old world merchant shop and I love that."

  2. "I'm obsessed with all things Sabon, but I think this is my favorite store. The people are just so kind and welcoming, and they always let me do a hand treatment, which is pure bliss. Whenever I have visitors from out of town I bring them to Sabon, and they always wind up leaving with armloads of these great products from the Dead Sea, and they make great gifts too!"

"Sabon continues to be the best beauty product store that I have had the pleasure to encounter. The store itself is delicately elegant - it is the crepe lace ruffle that one notes, with soft boiled gaze, at a party, falling off of a porcelain shoulder. Subtlety, egregious subtlety is the ironic hallmark of perfection. Sabon continues to carry that in spades.

The rustic and natural presentation of the store is perfectly suited to the products. The soaps, hand cut for you, are so fresh that one is cautioned not to use them for a day or so, so that the centers can firmly dry out. The girls carry their flaxen hair as if adorned by a vibrant crown, set carnelions the flicker flame of rubies. The floor creaks, under your feet and you are suffused with the understanding that this is a place you could be comfortable in, that you could watch a sunset dying at the nape of the sea from. The girls look even more beautiful, and you have to pull your attention to the products in order to escape their siren song.

The men's line is excellent, delicate creams without the oily residue or rubbery astringent feeling normally associated with facewash. The day serum is also excellent, and well priced. The soaps and scrubs are divine, the moisturizers (especially the carrot) are excellent, and the other assorted products are perfectly made, with the whimsical character of a punch and judy show. I use the face polisher and the white tea eye cream, and I highly recommend both products to any men or women concerned with their vanities.

To date, I am still carded, and women still think I am 18-20. I am 27. You tell me if Sabon is working for me or not.

More importantly, Sabon cultivates something that is sorely lacking in America - the culture of elegance. It is not enough to appreciate beauty, or to appreciate the luxury of loves. A person must infuse that sense of beauty into one's own life. Sabon not only offers wonderful soaps, scrubs, etc, but also help immerse you in the kind of life that beauty itself desires - paramour of fleeting days, and ashen lover of the cruelly turned lips.

Shop here. If you've any taste, shop here."

"My hands are thanking me right now!!!!! I was shopping yesterday in SoHo when this cute gal was handing out little samples of soap. One whiff and I had to inquire....... Need to say a few things before I continue. I'm a proud "straight" male that just spent close to $100 on soap. Never in my life did I ever think for more than 2 seconds on which soap to buy at the store,"Irish Spring....done!" Not anymore..... this place was a definite eye opener for me!!! The dead sea salt soap scrub is truely heaven on earth for my hands! I bought a huge jar of the body scrub "tropic" and a fresh cut bar of vanilla bean soap. The staff here is so nice and very informative. I can't wait to go back!

Just go, wash your hands, and then thank me later......"

  3. "Typical bath and body works prices but NOT YOUR TYPICAL PRODUCTS! I didn't want to go in. I was sure I'd be pressured or snubbed. I thought it was a candle store at first. this BEAUTIFUL hippie girl came over and asked if I wanted to try any scrub. they have this awesome italian looking fountain to wash your hands in. but afterwards she didn't pressure me into buying anything. everything looks like it's in an old chemist bottle which I love. and prices are not so bad. I did buy the scrub - I recommend the carrot lotion. that lovely pathcouli lavender scent is hard to get though. it's the top seller."
