In the name of St. Valentine, we honor, indulge, and profess our love to those special someone’s, every February 14th. So when and why did this all begin? Here is a brief nod to the first sparks that have fueled this nationwide holiday…
This is a holiday mixed with a little bit of myth, religion, history and destiny. During the Middle Ages, throughout France and England, it was believed that birds began to mate on this day and in Rome, this day marked the death and love letter of St. Valentine, written to his jailer’s daughter. In 1415, the first love letter was recorded, written by Charles, Duke of Orleans to his wife,
while he was imprisoned in London.
